Letterkenny Institute of Technology, originally Regional Technical College, Letterkenny is a third-level institution in Donegal and other parts of northwest Ireland that was established in the second half of the twentieth century. The institute first opened its doors in 1971. The institution has a sister branch in Killybegs. It offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs that lead to officially recognized degrees. For the past five decades, the university has used a discriminatory admissions process based on a student's previous academic grades and record.

The cost of postgraduate education in LyIT varies depending on the course or program you choose. Non-EU Fees will be charged to any student who does not match the requirements for EU Fees. Non-EU students must pay €10,000 for a full-time postgraduate course.
Candidates who have received the necessary qualifying grades in their academics will be eligible to apply for Letterkenny Institute of Technology's postgraduate programs. Bachelor's degree with at least 60% (we prefer 65%) or a CGPA of 7.5 or higher (on a scale of 10). The IELTS score should be 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each module (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)
